Healing, Wine, & Story Time: Keeping it 100% - Airs 2/19/21
Did you know that a University of Massachusetts researcher found that most people lie in everyday conversation? (EurekaAlert.org) The study, published in the journal's June issue, found that 60 percent of people lied at least once during a 10-minute conversation and told an average of two to three lies. Why is this important to be aware of?
Because when you le to yourself you deny yourself of reality. We all have done it at one time or another in our lives. I'm not talking about "faking it to you make it", I'm talking about lying to yourself in order to overlook something or someone who generates negativity in your life. According to Lifehack.com, lying to yourself will "eat away at your soul, causing you untold amounts of future pain".
Kia Waters will open up with personal stories about when she struggled with lying to herself and will allow for selected audience members to share their screen & share their stories.
We will discuss methods to determine if you are lying to yourself, how to pivot your mind into acceptance of the reality of the situation, and how to make changes based on the facts not feelings.
